I have always had a passion for baking.  My mother often baked cakes and cookies and I loved being by her side. I made my first batch of semi-homemade muffins at the age of six and haven’t strayed far from the oven since.   

 

Over the next several years and during various employment opportunities, I continued to bake, always bringing in baked goodies to share with my coworkers. I was forever trying new recipes and delving into the world of “advanced” baking.  Thankfully, everything was always eaten and always appreciated. The “fancy” desserts were welcomed, but I quickly learned that it was the familiar (the classic chocolate chip cookies, the peanut butter cookies, blueberry muffins, etc.) that people requested.   

Baking is a great love of mine. It brings me so much joy I want to pass it along. Our lives can often be chaotic; I truly believe we often lose insight of the simple pleasures all around us. Stop. Breathe. Have a cookie.
